Dear SPB Fans,
During one of the recent discussions with Ashok (our group moderator), he was mentioning about this captivating solo melody of our SPB and urged me to include it in the blog. Based on his thrust, I explored & listened to this song. It is indeed a beautiful melody from the velvet throat of our Great.

Eventhough I do not remember having seen this movie, it can be assumed without any doubt that this song must have been featured on Raja & Khushboo. I understand that this movie is one among the few thrillers that Director BharathiRaja had churned out, the others being Sigappu Rojakkal & Tik Tik Tik. There is also news that Khushboo herself performed a stunt act of climbing a ladder upto a windmill without a dupe in this movie.
Well, coming to the song now, it has given our SPB ample scope to present his skills. His style of rendition comes to the fore at many places. This song by the hero (Raja) talks about finding “that” special something in the heroine (Khushboo) which sets her apart from the rest. Our SPB has used the platform well in providing the right touches at the right places as the lyrics lists down the various attributes of the lady love and wonders whether ‘that’ special feature is ‘this’. Just listen to his artistic touches on the words "ondru", "yedhO", "irukkiradhu" in the Pallavi. Simply out of the world. The song ends without coming to a conclusion as to “that” special something but the hero assures that he will not rest till he finds out. Our Guruji introduces his trademark laughter at two places towards the end of the song. Good lyrics but unfortunately I am not able to get hold of the name of the lyricist (is it Vairamuthu???). Music by Hamsalekha is enchanting merging well with the flow of the words in the lyrics.

Semaaaaa Song. Ya Lyrics by None other than the Great Vairamuthu. In this song, what I like the most, the 'Naughtiness' of SPB, while singing "kazhuthin keezhae kavidhaigaL", OK leave it, I'm Still Spinster!!!
One Flashback, I have one mentor during my College days, he got married in 1994, after the engagement, there will be a time everybody wish to hypnotize his wife, for my mentor, it was the song "Endha Pennilum", he used to sing this song thru phone, to charm his wife, and in a single audio casette (Sony 90, 16 songs, no CD at that time) he recorded this song 16 times and sent it to his wife!!!!!
Thats the greatness of this song, and this is only because of the Great SPB, and a mesage to my "Anonymous" wife, "Dear be ready to get a CD which will include 100 times of endha pennilum song"!!!!!!!!!
